Multiple departments respond to house fire Friday

Shortly before 8 p.m. Friday, a fully engulfed structure was reported at 6289 North County Road 675 West (near the Clay-Vigo County line). Posey Fire Chief Cody Barnard was first on the scene to witness flames coming through the roof of a double-wide trailer at the location. He requested tanker assistance from Dick Johnson and Jackson Township volunteer fire departments as well as from two Vigo County departments, including Nevins and Seelyville. No further information was available at press time Friday.

Stop 22: VFW hopes to raise awareness of veteran suicides through day of activity
