Firefighters battle blaze near Harmony

Forest Park drainage project 81 years in the making

It’s said to have been 81 years in the making. This year, a new drainage system will keep Forest Park drier than it has been in decades. For more than 80 years, Forest Park has been the site of the annual 4th of July celebration sponsored by the Brazil Rotary Club. During many of those years, the celebration had to be closed due to torrential rains that flooded the area used for a carnival and people stayed away.

New business owner hopes to begin family legacy with salon
