Redevelopment commission gives company’s tax abatement a thumb’s up

When Britt Aero/Britt Tool’s Darin Britton went before the Clay County Redevelopment Commission to ask for a positive tax abatement this week, the members had no problem granting it. The tax abatement, if approved by the Brazil City Council, will mean a decreasing percentage of taxes owed by the company will be abated over a period of years, depending on the final abatement agreement.

Charges filed against man in crash that downed power lines
