(Local News ~ 08/25/17)
Police say a report of kidnapping ended with one person arrested Friday night at a property on State Road 340, west of Brazil. Dennis Archer, Brazil Police Department’s assistant chief, said a woman called 911 from the intersection of Pinckley and Franklin streets in Brazil around 5:30 p.m. and said her male friend had been “kidnapped” by a male whom police recognized as Ryan Fontanyi, 35, of Brazil. “Officers developed some information as to possible locations; one of those being on (State Road) 340,” Archer said. “An officer came out here to check the area and found a silver car matching the description of the one used at the time of the incident so other officers came out here. A male here at the property did tell the officers that this Fontanyi person was inside a garage on the property.”
