Calvin Fry of Cory (center) a senior at Clay City High School, was inducted into the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, on Tuesday at CCHS. Present for the ceremony were his parents, Valerie and James Fry. Calvin received the call that he had been accepted while on the bus en route to a track meet, said Mr. Owens, a teacher, whose son was on the bus. Florence “Eileen” Williams, 94, of Bee Ridge passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at 9:36 P.M. on May 12, 2018 at Union Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1924 in Parke County the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Bouillez) McGrannahan. Eileen was a 1942 graduate of Bridgeton High School. For a short period of time she worked as a cashier for Public Service, and for over 30 years she worked for Joe and Deloris Thomas at the Brazil Dairy Queen...
