This month’s Staunton Community Center Dinner, prepared by the Lady Volunteers, will be next Friday August 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu features Country Fried Steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, garden salad, homemade rolls, desserts, and coffee, tea, or lemonade. The price remains $9 for adults and $5 for children. Profits are used to benefit worthy causes in our community...

One area of ministry that I deeply love is to visit people in their homes. You can learn so, so much about a person by the way their home is decorated, by the pictures hung up, and the way space is used. By visiting I can learn much about the person and their family. Relay for Life motorcycle ride postponed to Sept. 15th due to thunderstorms

Thunderstorms that blanketed the area Saturday morning made it necessary to postpone the motorcycle ride to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
