Charles W. Benell, 79, of Bridgeton, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Diamond, IN on February 5, 1939, the son of William H. Benell and Virginia B. Lawrence Benell. He graduated in 1957 from Bridgeton High School and was a life long member of Bridgeton United Methodist Church, Gold Wing Club Chapter D, Covered Bridge Squares and Parke County 4-H where he served on several committees. ...

Despite humid temperatures, it was all smiles, music, fun, and games during the Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville annual Fall Carnival Sept. 21. The special event was held for residents, their family members, staff and the public. The event was moved up a day this year with the potential for bad weather on Friday, but those who came out were able to enjoy refreshments, games, a petting zoo, bounce house and the toe-tapping Elvis Tribute Show by local musician Eric Brown...

Community challenged to give peanut butter

The Clay County Youth Food Delivery Program has issued a “Food Challenge” urging community members to donate 350 jars of 16oz peanut butter by Oct. 1, before the schools’ fall break but donations are accepted any time. The organization currently feeds 350 children throughout the county schools.
