City $8,000 closer to building footbridge at Craig Park

Helping animals stay healthy for the year

A steady stream of pet owners stopped by the Forest Park Pavilion/Cow for the recent Clay County Humane Society Fall Shot Clinic. Organizers kept busy with registration, two areas helping pets get vaccinated and another area where a fundraiser was selling name-brand pet foods to owners. Dr. Rick L. "Doc" Rodgers, DVM, 68, died unexpectedly, October 12, 2018 at 12:53 am at St. Vincent Clay Emergency room. He was born July 10, 1950 in Clay County, the son of Clifford Rodgers. He graduated from VanBuren High School, Class of 1968. He continued his education at Purdue University graduating in 1972. He then graduated from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. He started his career with Dr. Bratt in Terre Haute, before opening his own veterinary office in 1978 in Clay County...
