The next Staunton Community Center Dinner, prepared by the Lady Volunteers, will be on Friday, May 31 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. This month’s meal features Chicken and Noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, homemade rolls, dessert, and coffee, iced tea, or lemonade. Plan to come out and celebrate the beauty of Spring with good food and nice people. As always, profits go to support worthy causes in the community...

By CAREY FOX Times Sports Editor TERRE HAUTE — Clay City’s Bryce Patterson highlighted the efforts from Clay County boys track and field athletes during Friday’s Terre Haute North Sectional. The Eel junior opened plenty of eyes as he raced to victories in both the 100 and 200 meter events to automatically qualify for regional competition next week in Bloomington. Patterson flew to a 10.96 in the 100 meters and then added a 23.02 in the winning 200-meter run...
