Humane Shelter open house has kissing booth

School board announces budget meetings

Brazil veteran deploying to Kuwait in October

Joey Light, 38, of Brazil is deploying to Kuwait with the Army National Guard 1313 out of Johnson County on Oct. 15. Light is a veteran. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001 to 2004 and signed with the Army National Guard in 2006 and served until 2012. This year, he re-enlisted with the Army National Guard and learned he would be deployed to Kuwait for one year...

'Bama Street Fest to benefit local charities

The 2019 Bama Street Fest fundraiser was in full swing Saturday night as hundreds of people came out to enjoy the music at 569 East National Ave. The 15th annual event started at 5 p.m., with Jordan Brooker and included the Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders, former punter for the Indianapolis Colts and musician Hunter Smith, and the Indiana band Bishop Gunn rocking the night away.
