Quick reaction by first responders gets fire under control Friday afternoon

Several fire departments responded to a report of a residential fire shortly after 1 p.m. Friday. However, the fire in the home's kitchen area located on State Road 340 near the intersection at US40 was quickly got under control. It is unknown at this time the extent of the damages.
