Local law enforcement officials were kept busy during Tuesday’s rain. Clay County Dispatch received many calls about a multiple vehicle accident around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. The Clay County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the intersection of State Road 59 and County Road 700 North. Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch visited Brazil on Thursday, April 7, in celebration of Clay County Manufacturers Appreciation Day, at Great Dane. Auditor Jennifer Flater is pictured at right. Other main speakers were Bart Colwell, president of the Hometown Savings Bank, and state Sen. Jon Ford. Lunch was served to approximately 60 guests from area businesses and local officials.
