Brazil concert band set to present 'A Melodic Caravan'

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will present "A Melodic Caravan" at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Forest Park Band Shell or Pavilion if rain.

This week's program will include "Irving Berlin A Symphonic Portrait" with "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Say It With Music," "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Easter Parade," "White Christmas" and "God Bless America."

In "Melodic Caravan," the BCB will play "I Feel A Song Comin' On," "I'm In The Mood For Love," "It's A Most Unusual Day," "Don't Blame Me" and "Cuban Love Song."

From Broadway, the BCB will feature "Fiddler On The Roof" with "Sabbath Prayer," "Matchmaker" and "To Life."

Two concert classics, "Folk Song Suite" will sound forth along with an old favorite, "The Princess Of India."

Marches for the week are "The Corcoran Cadets" By Sousa, "His Honor" by Fillmore and "The New Friendship" by Jewell.

The BCB will also schedule "The Shadow Of Your Smile," "Amazing Grace" and "Moonlight Serenade."

On Tuesday, July 10th, the BCB will perform at 7 p.m. in Gobin Church on the DePauw University campus in Greencastle.
