Martha Bryan Ferris
Martha Bryan Ferris, 74, Brazil, died July 4, at 9:01 p.m. at Union Hospital.
Born July 19, 1932, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of William Calvin Bryan and Blanche Belle Tilly Bryan.
She was a homemaker and loving mother to two sons.
In later years, she was a caregiver for a local family for more than 13 years. Also, she worked at the McDonald's Interstate-70 location until illness became a problem.
She enjoyed going to flea markets, exploring Mansfield and going to yard sales. She especially enjoyed visiting with her granddaughter Kimberly and was looking forward to attending the wedding of Kimberly and Jason on July 7, 2007, but sadly her death came too suddenly.
Survivors include son Kenneth Keck, Fortville; granddaughter Kimberly Keck McCord and husband Jason, North Kansas City, Mo.; sisters Freda Pearce and May Dickison; brothers Wayne Bryan and Clyde Brian; two good friends Cindy Grupe and Anita Dickison; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orange Ferris; son Larry Keck; twin sister Mary Jane Bryan, sisters Retha Johnson, Ruby Bryan and Opal Wetnight; and brothers Roy Bryan, Russell Bryan, Donald Bryan and Virgil Bryan.
Graveside services will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cottage Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jacob Raubuch officiating. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at French Funeral Home.
