Local educator and author Mollie M. Shobe will conduct a book signing for her recently published book, "A Desperate Cry," from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 17.
After coping with severe depression during a very trying time in her life, Shobe was able to complete the book.
"A Desperate Cry" contains daily journal entries as she experienced depression and lists Scripture verses that gave her hope to overcome.
The event will take place at the Knoy Resource Center at Cloverdale High School.
Shobe lives in Greencastle. She has a Master degree in learning disabilities. She has taught in a private school for military dependents in South Korea for four years, Cornerstone Christian Academy in Brazil for three years, owned and operated her own Day Care Center for one year and has been teaching at Cloverdale Community Schools for eight years.
