Owen "Dutch" Akers, 85, Rockville, died Thursday at Heritage House of Clinton.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gladys (Woodall) Akers, son James Akers and wife Star, Columbia City, and daughter Janet Crooks and husband Allen, Jackson Hole, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and May Ernest Akers.

Services will take place at a later date. Burial will be at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.

Private visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m.-noon Friday at Gooch Funeral Home, Rockville.
