Ruby K. Cornwell, 91, Brazil, died at 7:10 a.m. Monday at Holly Hill Healthcare Facility.
Born April 24, 1916 in Clay County, she was the daughter of Luther E. and Mary Molly A. (Yant) Hadley.
She was a graduate of Brazil High School.
She was a life-long member of the Fairview Christian Church.
She had previously worked for JC Penny and Adamson's as a seamstress. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing alterations for others.
She was a member of the three C's club and enjoyed playing Euchre and other card games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cletus Cornwell, and brother Elmer Hadley.
She is survived by daughters Janice Van Blaricum, Carmel, and Judy Flathery and husband Bob, Savannah, Ga.; five grandchildren Matthew Van Blaricum, Jeffrey Van Blaricum, David Van Blaricum, Michael Burns and Kris Burns; great-grandchildren Benjamin Van Blaricum and Jessica Van Blaricum; sister-in-law Reba Hadley Morley, niece Carolyn Jo Botner and husband Ron and their children, Kipp Botner and Kent Botner, and close friend Nancy Short.
Services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at French Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Parkey and Steve Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Stunkard Cemetery.
Visitation is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
