STAUNTON FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m. Doug Parkey is the minister. Mark Parkey will be our guest speaker this Sunday morning. Children's Church, Wee Worship and extended nursery are at 10:30 a.m. in the Educational Building. If you need transportation to morning worship, please phone the church office at 446-3211.

There will be no evening service or Wednesday evening Bible Study this week.

Our thanks to all the dedicated workers who contributed to the success of Vacation Bible School. Many Bibles were collected to add to those being sent to folks without Bibles, and over 350 food items were collected for the Staunton Food Pantry. The lessons centered around true Bible Heroes and the students learned several new songs. You won't want to miss their presentation during Sunday morning worship tomorrow.

STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. Church service begins at 10:30 a.m. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Janet Young on July 22, and to my great-grandson Matt Aselage, who celebrates his 13th birthday on July 25.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement on the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3-5 p.m. The next Food Pantry day will be July 25. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success. A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.

If you have news to share, send it to me at 4954 W. Happy Holler Rd., Brazil. All news is greatly appreciated.
