Catherine L. Thomas, 85, died July 6, 2007, at the Sylvia's Hospice House.

She was born in Terre Haute and moved to Silver Springs, Fla., in 1987, from Brazil.

She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William A. Thomas, daughter Rebecca S. Montgomery and husband Dana, Silver Springs, Fla., sons William A. Thomas Jr., Silver Springs, Fla., Daniel E. Thomas and wife Lynn, and Steve D. Thomas and wife Sharon, aboth of Brazil; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy Jeffers, Sullivan.
