A traffic stop on an individual believed to be wanted on two warrants Sunday evening led to a pursuit involving various agencies in two to three counties.

Shortly before 10 p.m., law enforcement officers attempted to stop a red vehicle in an area near the intersection of C.R. 1500 N and 300 W., but the driver sped off throwing items out the window.

The pursuit alerted officers from various agencies in Clay, Vigo and Parke counties and the Indiana State Police.

Stop sticks were dispersed in an area on U.S. 41, but the vehicle continued until it stopped on Lambert Street near Rosedale.

The driver, Douglas Marshall Fulk, 27, allegedly wanted for two probation violations issued from Clay Superior Court, was taken into custody and also charged with resisting law enforcement for the pursuit. Fulk was booked into the Clay County Justice Center without bond.

A female passenger in the vehicle was not taken into custody.

Officials told The Brazil Times the incident is still under investigation.
