Clay City posted a 69-33 road win over host Dugger on Friday night.
After a quick fieldgoal 36 seconds into the game by Elliott Booe, the game slowed as the Eels took a 14-7 lead through one quarter.
The Eels went on to start the second quarter on a 14-0 run and didn't let up as the Bulldogs trailed by 28 points at halftime, 41-13.
The Eels continued to extend their lead after halftime as Clay Jones put his team up 54-21 with a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Turnovers and missed shots dug the Bulldogs a hole that was too big to crawl out of in the final period. A well rounded team effort however kept Union from falling much farther back as they were outscored just 15-12 in the final quarter.
Booe led the Eels with 23 points in just 22 minutes of action. He hit three 3-pointers in the game and topped the team with seven rebounds.
Brandon Chambers led the Bulldogs with 15.
With the win, the Eels extend their overall record to 2-1, 2-0 in conference play.
Clay City travels to Eminence tomorrow evening with junior varsity action beginning at 6 p.m.
