The Clay City Eels have their first two game win streak of the season after defeating the Owen Valley Patriots on Monday evening.
Whitney McWilliams had 17 points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds as the Eels pulled away in the second half for a 54-42 win, their third of the season.
Bryleigh Schopmeyer added another 13 points and six assists to go with eight boards in the victory.
The Eels got a balanced offensive attack as four players had seven or more points while their defense held high-scoring Lindsey Vuke to just eight points in the contest.
Amber Long was another high point for Clay City with eight points and five assists in the game to go with teammate Jenna Koehler's seven points, six steals and five boards. Brittany Rood also added eight points and a team high seven steals in the game.
The Eels will travel to Bloomfield on Thursday evening for a game versus the Cardinals who were 1-11 heading into Monday's game versus Washington.
