Fans who attended Saturday afternoon's non-conference matchup between Northview and White River Valley certainly got their money's worth as the two squads combined for a double-overtime contest.
The Knights would emerge victorious in the contest with an 80-71 decision that moved their overall record to 18-2 this season.
Logan Whitman scored 20 of his game-high 31 points in the fourth quarter and overtimes, included was a game-tying 3-pointer at the end of the first overtime that extended the game.
Zach Keyes would add another 24 for the Knights who have now won three straight versus the Wolverines.
High scoring WRV guard A.J. Graves went toe-to-toe with Whitman and Keyes in scoring and dramatics by scoring 28 of his own points with a 3-pointer to tie the score at the end of regulation for the Wolverines. He would eventually foul out in the second overtime.
However, Whitman would score 10 points in the fourth period and 10 more in the extra sessions to help lead the Knights to the victory.
Tyler Akers and Josh Timm each added eight points for Northview who was without starting point guard Amos Wegner who missed the game with a wrist injury.
The Knights will travel to Greencastle tomorrow night for a 6:30 p.m. junior varsity tipoff.
