The Clay City Eels finished off their regular season with a 63-51 victory over the Rockville Rox on Friday night as three players scored in double figures.
Elliott Booe led the way for the Class A No. 5 ranked Eels with a game-high 19 points. Landon Wellman also hit double-digits, tallying 11 points and Matt Farmer added another 10.
The Rox (9-12) were led by Brogan McMullen's 15 points.
The Eels waited until the fourth quarter to put the game away, leading by just two points heading into the final stanza. However, in that final frame Clay City exploded for 28 points to pull away for their 17th victory.
Clay City also got to the freethrow line 37 times compared to the Rox eight as Rockville committed 31 fouls including a technical by Derek Bridge.
The Eels will face Shakamak at 6 p.m. tomorrow evening in the first round of sectionals while the Rox will face Attica on Tuesday at North Vermillion.
