The Northview Knights' junior varsity baseball team improved to 3-1 overall this season with a 13-8 victory over Shakamak at home.
The Knights overcame eight first and second inning runs by the Lakers with 11 of their own to defeat Shakamak.
Shawn Hughes came in to relieve Brad Horn and and got the victory, pitching the final 3 2/3 innings, giving up no earned runs while striking out six batters in the game.
At the plate, Kyle Nees had two hits, two runs scored and a pair of RBI's and Jason Johnson added three RBI's of his own to go with two hits, including a double.
Hughes also had a pair of runs driven in and Andrew Griffin added two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Shane Cooper had two hits, scored a pair of runs and stole three bases and Troy Sanders had two walks and two runs scored in the victory.
The Knights will remain at home to face Owen Valley on Monday evening.
