Northview JV falls to Braves

The Northview junior varsity baseball team fell 5-4 on Thursday night to Terre Haute South on the road.

Northview carried a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning but the Braves rallied for three runs to take the victory.

Freshman Andrew Griffin got the start on the mound for Northview and went the first four innings, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out one batter. He was relieved by Brady Shoemaker who eventually got the loss.

Troy Sanders had two hits, including a double for Northview while Brandon Riddell had two RBI's and scored a run. Shane Cooper had a hit and a stolen base and Craig Trout, Wade Thacker and Jason Johnson each had singles for Northview who is now 4-3 this season.

The Knights will host the Northview Invitational on Saturday and will face Edgewood at 10 a.m.
