Northview rang up their 22nd win of the season with a victory over Covington in their final home game of the year, 9-3.
The Knights used the game to get their pitching staff some final regular season work before their sectional game on Saturday versus Terre Haute North.
David Kingery took to the mound for one inning of work, allowing a single run with two hits, while striking out a pair of Trojans. At the plate, Kingery drove in a pair of runs with a triple.
C.J. Peters got the bulk of Monday's work with three innings on the hill for the Knights. He also got the win, to move to 7-0, while allowing no runs, just two hits and striking out five batters. He also had a double in the game.
T.J. King was the third pitcher of the evening for Northview. He allowed a pair of runs on four hits in his two innings of work. He walked one and struckout four. On offense, he would get a pair of hits and scored a pair of runs.
Jason Brown came in to close out the game in the seventh inning, striking out one. He also had a hit in the contest.
Andrew Griffin added his fifth homerun of the season for the Knights when he cranked a two-run shot. Brady Shoemaker added two hits in the game, one of them a double, while driving in a pair of runs.
Jacob Jones scored two runs in the game and Ryan Hayes and Wade Thacker each had single hits.
Northview moves to 22-6 overall heading into sectional play beginning in the bye round on Saturday.
