The Indiana All-Stars basketball team got all it could handle versus the Junior All-Stars on Wednesday night before winning 97-94.

The contest, played at Beech Grove High School, was an exhibtion tuneup for the All- Stars who will face the Kentucky All-Stars in Owensboro soon.

Former Lafayette Jeff guard Peyton Stovall scored 22 points in 26 minutes to pace the victorious All-Stars.

He hit six-of-nine shots from the field and nine-of-10 from the freethrow line, but his lone miss from the charity stripe nearly opened the door for the Junior squad.

Stovall, who will attend Ball State next year, missed one-of-two free throws with 11.9 seconds remaining to give the Junior All-Stars a last chance to tie the game. However, two last shots from beyond the arc, one each from A.J. Ratliff and Gary Patterson, each missed the mark.

Stovall added seven rebounds and four assists in the victory. Justin Cage, The Indianapolis Star's Indiana Mr. Basketball scored 17 points for the senior team.

Andrew Hershberger of Goshen came off the bench to add 16 points and 12 boards for the All-Stars as well.

The Junior All-Stars were led by Ratliff, from North Central, with 24 points. Pike junior Robert Vaden added 16.

Northview senior-to-be, Logan Whitman, had a successful game with 13 points, including three-of-six shooting from beyond the arc. Fellow Wabash Valley product, A.J. Graves had three points on one-of-six shooting. Whitman finished five-of-eight from the field.
