Northview's tennis team picked up their first conference win of the season on Saturday over Brown County, 4-1.
The Knights swept through singles play as Tyler Akers won at number one singles 6-1, 6-4 over Michael Dodge. At number two doubles, Cody Melega was victorious with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) win and Shawn Hughes won 7-6 (7-4), 6-0.
"Tyler really had his serve going (Saturday), he was on fire and after Shawn took the first set of his match he took over and never let his opponent back in to it," commented coach Tim Davis.
In doubles action, Jeremy Miller and Jacob Talbot defeated Joe Schmidt and Nick Aumage, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).
The Eagles only victory over the day was at number two singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Stefan Kiefer and Ben Mitchell.
"Our number one doubles team had a really good match today," said Davis.
The Knights (1-1 overall 1-0 WIC) will face White River Valley today at 5 p.m.
