The Northview tennis program avenged last year's sectional and regular season lossses to White River Valley on Monday afternoon with a 5-0 sweep over the Wolverines.
The Knights got convincing wins from all three singles positions with Shawn Hughes leading the way.
Hughes hammered Alex Malone with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking. Cody Melega got past Ryan Carr comfortably by a 6-1, 6-2 margin and Tyler Akers won 6-3, 6-3 over Mike Lowell at number one singles.
"Tyler (Akers) got off to a slow start tonight," commented Head Coach Tim Davis. "His feet were a little sluggish but he got going as the match went on. Cody is serving a lot better lately too. I think every match is helping us with experience."
In doubles, Stefan Kiefer and Ben Mitchell got past Cody Dyer and Nick Hamlin with a 6-2, 7-6 decision and Jacob Talbot and Jeremy Miller won 6-4, 6-2 over Wyatt Huffin and Jacob Holland.
"Even though we won tonight I think some of our guys know we can play better," said Davis. "Tennis is one of those sports that, even when you play well, you know you can always play better."
The Knights (2-1 overall) face Danville tonight on the road beginning at 5 p.m.
