Clay City's cross-country teams picked up a pair of victories on Monday over Shakamak in a meet rescheduled due to the inclement weather two weeks ago.
The Eels boys team defeated the Lakers 19-44 on the strength of Andy Huggler's winning time of 18:17 for Clay City.
David Schroer placed third overall in 18:25 followed by teammate Camrand Tucker in fourth (18:50) and Jared Schlak in 19:05. Placing sixth was Adam Schroer with a time of 19:08 and Dustin Souder, Jared Defore, Kyle Tiefel and Cole Schroer rounded out the top-10.
In the girls meet, Clay City defeated a short-handed Shakamak squad who had an incomplete score. The Eels however scored 21 points and Alisha Drake was the meet winner with a time of 18:40.
Second place went to Elizabeth Effner with Chelsea Riggs finishing fourth in 19:55 and Elizabeth Beyers taking sixth.
The Clay City boys (3-0) and girls (2-1) will face off on Saturday at the South Knox Invitational.
