North Clay runners place fourth and fifth at South Knox

Both the girls and boys North Clay runners had solid finishes at Saturday's South Knox Invitational

At the South Knox Invitational on Saturday, North Clay placed two girls in the top-10 on their way to a fourth place team finish.

Sarah Roeschlein earned seventh place while Tiffany Young took eighth as the Knights scored 123 team points.

Other North Clay finishers included Cassandra Barnett in 27th, Corey Laue in 38th, Ashley Woodcox placed 46th while Allie True was 58th and Stephanie McMains was 62nd.

In the boys' "A" race, Jared Royer placed 20th and Chris Smith was 24th as the Knights finished in fifth place as a team.

Samuel Spencer placed 29th while Ryan Lutes was 40th, Griffin Maurer was 47th, Seth Wright was 48th and Jordan Maurer was 65th.

The boys reserve team finished second in their division as E.C. Moody placed seventh to pace North Clay.

Josh Lynch crossed the line in 14th followed by Austin Akers in 19th place, Logan Lynch in 22nd, Seth Gummere in 23rd, Griffin Norris in 41st and Thad Whittington in 43rd.

North Clay will visit Otter Creek on Wednesday evening for a tri-angular meet with the Otters and West Vigo. On Thursday they will entertain Clay City at Craig Park with both meets beginning at 4:30 p.m.
