Northview graduate Carri Long placed seventh in Sunday's 2004 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston.
Amy Acuff took the title by clearing 6'4 while second place Tisha Waller missed on her three attempts at the height.
Long, who competes for the Indiana Invaders Track Club, cleared her first two heights on her first attempt before finishing at 6'1/2.
The 1995 Northview graduate currently works for the Purdue track team as an assistant coach and recently earned her Master's Degree in curriculoum and instruction.
In 2002 she placed fourth in the USA Outdoor Championships and sixth in the indoor competition and was ranked fourth in the United States by Track and Field News.
A two-time Indiana State High Jump Champion, Long has consistently been ranked in the top-10 in the United States since 2000. In addition to competing on the US National Team at the 2001 World University Games, Long was a finalist at the 2000 Olympic Trials as well. She has already qualified for the 2004 US Olympic Trials.
