Northview's golf team rebounded from a loss to Terre Haute South last week with a 142 to 155 win over Western Indiana Conference foe South Vermillion on Thursday night.

Adam Thiemann shot a two-under par score of 33 to earn medalist honors and Tyler Akers carded an even par 35 as Northview moved to 8-2 in dual matches this season.

Austin Schutte, Roy Wyndham and Devin Whittington all shot a 37 for the Knights while Caleb Edington shot a 38, Kyle Kumpf a 39 and Austin Staley added a 40.

"We played much better tonight," said coach Scott Buell of his Knights. "Adam (Thiemann) shot his best round of the season and Tyler (Akers) was solid as he has been all year."

The Wildcats were lead by Chase Contizi with a 37 while Kyle Stephenson added a 39 along with Dexter Dunham and Josh Morgan chipped in with a 40.

The Knights will compete in the Jasper Invitational this Saturday against 16 other teams at the Jasper Municipal Golf Course.
