The squad advanced through pool play with an unbeaten record in preparation for their trip to the Cal Ripken World Series on August 7.
The 10s opened play last week with an 8-7 squeaker versus Terre Town on July 26, rallying for five runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning to get the victory.
Zach Hull got the rally started when he was hit by a pitch and Coleman Craig reached on an error. TJ Decker followed with a single before Bryant Pestoff and Stephen Watts each reached via walk. Another error and a single by Ty Bryan capped the squads rally to victory.
Jordan Girton homered in the game for the CYL squad.
Decker pitched a pair of scoreless innings to open the contest, striking out four, before Hull and Craig each made an appearance. Craig Peters came in to finish the game.
The CYL 10s didn't need any dramatics in their next game, hammering the Dixie Bee squad 22-5 on the strength of a 16 hit attack.
Hull picked up three hits, including a double along with Cam Guy who also had three base hits. Pestoff, Craig and Watts each had two base hits as well.
In the team's third game, the CYL defeated Danville by an 11-1 count as Decker threw three shutout innings followed by two solid relief innings from Hull.
Craig had a three homerun game and Ben Denker had a pair of doubles in the contest.
The squad will continue play this week in the tournament before packing up for their trip to the Cal Ripken World Series in Vincennes beginning on Saturday, August 7.
The squad will face off with South Brunswick, NJ, the Middle Atlantic champion, in their opening contest at 6 p.m.
