With temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 70's, the weather has been very kind to prep football players across the midstate during two-a-day practices.

At Northview High School, Coach George Gettle has near record numbers in camp this season.

The Knights have more than 100 players in grades 9-12 in camp looking to improve on last season's 5-5 mark.

Thus far Gettle mentioned that the practices are going well with both his staff and players doing an excellent job preparing for today's intrasquad scrimmage scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Northview High School and is open to the public.

Two-a-day practices will continue through next week, leading up to Friday evening's intersquad scrimmage.

The Knights open their regular season on August 20 vs. Bloomington North at 7 p.m.
