Knights place fourth at Mooresville Tournament

The Northview Knights placed fourth in a 12 team field at the Mooresville Invitational held at Oak Tree Golf Course Monday.

The Knights team score of 347 was behind third place Franklin Central's 336, Brebeuf's 331 and the winning score of 324 by Richmond.

Northview was topped by Sophomore Mille Akers' score of 83 which included a pair of birdies on the front nine holes of the course. Her round was followed by an 85 from senior Brittney Cheeks and an 88 from Madison Kirchner.

Mary Beth Tribble carded a 91 and Maggie Kirchner added a score of 93 for the Knights.

Also playing in the tournament were Franklin, Brownsburg, Terre Haute South, Mooresville, Plainfield and Ritter.

The Knights will visit Rae Park for the Terre Haute South Invitational today beginning at 10 a.m.
