TERRE HAUTE -- With the first day of school looming just a day ahead, you could almost forgive the Northview golf team for being just a bit off their usual game.

Despite having some uncharacteristic trouble with the Rae Park Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon, Northview still got past Terre Haute South 184-215.

The victory was the Knights second in dual match play and kept them unbeaten at 2-0 with a showdown at Hulman Links looming on Thursday with rival Terre Haute North.

The par-five eighth hole at Rae Park was the biggest thorn in the Knight's side as three golfers carded double bogey's and two had triple bogey's on a day in which steady wind and solid greens provided tricky putting surfaces.

Brittney Cheek was the leader for the Knights with a round of 44 and notched a birdie on the sixth hole and was followed by playing partner Millie Akers' 46.

South's Price was the afternoon's medalist with her round of 41, but no other Brave was under 52 for the day.

Mary Beth Tribble carded a 46 for Northview with a birdie on hole No. 2 and Madison Kirchner rounded out the team scoring with her 48. Maggie Kirchner shot a 49 and Jenae Huffman had a 53.

The Knights will visit Hulman Links for a 4 p.m. match with the Patriots on Thursday and will travel to the Jasper Invitational on Saturday morning.
