The Northview Knights picked up a Western Indiana Conference victory over West Vigo on Thursday night, winning 3-1 over the Vikings.
Jarius Martinez got the Knights off to a quick start at the 28:00 minute mark of the first half and Northview headed into the halftime break with the lead.
In the second half, West Vigo knotted the score on a crossing pass that was headed into the net.
However, the Knights rallied with a goal at the 22:00 minute mark from Nate Navel and added another score shortly afterwards on a tally from John Latta with an assist by Michael Gallion.
In the contest, Martinez led the squad in shots with nine while Wade Thacker added four and Navel three. Both Latta and Josiah Brock each had a pair of shots on net.
In goal, Taylor Montague had four saves and Thacker had seven steals with Shaun Hardy adding five. Gallion had two saves in the game.
The Knights peppered the Vikings with constant pressure, a fact that was displayed with a school record 13 corner kicks for Northview.
Northview moves to 1-0 in the WIC with the win and will play in the Danville Tourney this weekend.
