The North Clay seventh grade football team pitched a shutout versus the Cascade Cadets in Wednesday night's game at Northview High School.
The 14-0 victory extends the Knights record to 3-0 on the young season.
The Knights got a first quarter score from Drake Stevenson to jump on top of the Cadets who struggled to find any offensive rhythm against the stingy North Clay defense.
Despite the missed 2-point conversion attempt, North Clay took a 6-0 halftime lead and would never be seriously threatened in the final two quarters.
The Knights defense stymied the Cadets on their first possession, backing them up inside their own 10-yard line. From there, North Clay blocked the Cascade punt and Joel Rector fell on the ball for the Knights' second touchdown of the game.
Quarterback Justin White would break through for the conversion run and the Knights held a 14-0 lead they would not relinquish.
North Clay will be in action next Thursday, Sept. 16 at Greencastle beginning at 5:30 p.m.
