Knights extend winning streak to seven with victory over Panthers

Northview posted their seventh straight volleyball victory on Tuesday night with a five set victory over Riverton Parke, 25-19, 23-25, 25-12, 12-25, 15-7.

Lindsay Thomas had 47 assists, eight service points, a pair of kills and nine digs in the winning effort that improved Northview's season mark to 19-5 overall.

Brianne Arvin had 13 kills and five points while Lottie King led the squad in hitting with 17 kills and added nine points, six digs and six blocks. Christy Fulk contributed seven kills and five blocks while Heather Palmer added six kills and two blocks and Laura McCrea had five kills in the match.

Casey Challandes had seven points and tied for the team lead in aces with three. Brittney Spugnardi also had three as part of her nine point evening. She would also lead the team in digs with 14 while Challandes had five and Kaley Huffman added four and Kyler Clark had three along with three points and an ace.

The Knights will visit Plainfield tonight for a 6 p.m. contest with the Quakers.

In junior varsity action Northview came away with a 25-14, 25-21 victory as Emma Koehler had 12 points with three aces and led the team with 18 assists and a block.

Ashley Hull had 10 kills to top the team and had an assist while Cari Laue had eight points with three aces and Nikki Mogan added five points. Traci Sanders had three in the match.

Kyler Clark had four kills for Northview with Chelsea Mershon adding two along with Laue and Koehler. Katie Timberman had one kill.
