Northview comes up short in visit to Danville

DANVILLE -- The Northview Knights got a heavy dose of Danville's Lance Robinson on Saturday night and the result was a 69-54 victory by the Warriors.

Robinson scored 25 points, including an eight-of-13 stint at the free throw line against the Knights who fall to 2-3 on the season.

Northview opened strong against the unbeaten Warriors, holding them to just seven points in the first quarter while the Knights held an 11-7 lead. But Danville caught fire in the remaining three quarters, outscoring the Knights 22-11 in the second period and scoring 40 second half points.

Nick Wells had another solid evening for Northview, posting 18 points and center, Heath Chamberlain added 15 for Northview in the defeat.

Danville did heavy damage from the perimeter against the Knights, hitting seven from long range and placing two other players in double-figures and added a third with nine.

The Knights will play host to Edgewood on Friday evening.
