Northview freshmen team manhandles visiting Sullivan

The Northview freshman 'A' basketball team improved to 9-0 on the season with a 70-18 thumping over visiting Sullivan on Tuesday night.

Trey Horn led the Knights' onslaught with a game-high 19 points and Caleb Whitman chipped in with 12. Jered Timm added nine for the Knights whose pressing and trapping defense led to numerous Sullivan turnovers and a wealth of easy layins for the Knights.

Ten different Knights scored in the game with reserves playing much of the second half for Northview who led 33-5 at halftime and pulled out to a 58-9 advantage after three periods of play.

Also getting on the board for the Knights was Ryne Barr with a pair of 3-pointers, Nick Lancaster added five, Albert Dean also had five and Jared Staley had four. Tyler Coltharp added six and Zack Kirby added two along with Keaton Robertson.

Up next for Northview is a tough road matchup with Bloomington North at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
