Following on the heels of a strong performance against Terre Haute South in a victory on Wednesday night, the Northview golf team picked up a tri-meet victory at Forest Park on Thursday night.
The Knights got a pair of 34's from Adam Thiemann and Devin Whittington on their way to a team score of 140 to beat Rockville's 181 and Riverton Parke's 236.
Roy Wyndham contributed a 36 along with Kyle Kumpf and both Josh Conway and Jeremy Johnson each shot a 40.
"We had a good solid performance tonight," commented coach Scott Buell of his Knights. "We shot an even par and got four really good scores tonight."
Their team score was seven strokes better than their dual match opening victory over the Braves and should give them confidence when they travel to Franklin to play in the Spring Preview tourney at The Legends Course, site of the state finals.
"The tournament should be pretty challenging," noted Buell. "I believe about 10 of the 20 teams are currently ranked."
The tournament begins at 1 p.m on Saturday.
In the junior varsity match the Knights defeated Rockville 169 to 239.
Pat Czizek carded a 38 with Clint Grey coming in with a 39. Matt Williams scored a 46 with Matt Thompson at 48 and Josh Miller at 49.
