The Northview Knights continued their softball winning streak on Saturday afternoon during a doubleheader against Brown County.
In the opening contest, the Knights used a four run third inning to take control of a 1-1 game and then capped off an 11-1 victory by tallying six runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Kayla Glassburn had a three-for-five opener and nailed a double in the victory and both Chandra Burns and Jennifer Gregg had a pair of hits in Northview's seven hit attack.
The cushion was plenty for Northview pitcher Stephanie Jonson, who struckout 10 Brown County batters and allowed just two hits in the win.
In the second contest, the Knights got an eighth inning single up the middle from Traci Sanders that brought home Burns with the winning run for Northview.
Sanders had two hits in the game and Jonson shared time of the mound with Sky Singleton who pitched a pair of middle innings.
Jonson got the win in the contest to move Northview to 5-1-1 overall and 3-1 in the WIC. The Knights will host WIC rival South Vermillion tonight at 5 p.m.
