Knights shutdown Patriots in JV victory

The Northview junior varsity baseball team improved to 4-0 on Monday night when they defeated visiting Owen Valley 11-1 behind the no-hit pitching of Jordan Starr.

Starr struckout 12 batters while walking two in the contest and was dominating throughout the contest, striking out the side in two different innings.

At the plate for the Knights, Chase Yocom, John Adam Reberger and Mitchell Edrington each had a pair of hits. Jared Lumsdon, Starr, Jordan Pond, Alex Smith and JJ Smerdel also had a hit in the victory.

The Knights came through in the clutch at the plate, driving home eight runs with two outs.

Northview will play host to Terre Haute South this evening at 5 p.m.
