The Northview junior varsity baseball team remained unbeaten this year, thumping Terre Haute South 12-2.
Curtis Peters got the victory on the mound, going the distance and allowing just three hits while striking our five and allowing just one earned run in his second victory.
"Curtis had another quality outing," commented coach Scott McDonald. "He's made some real good progress for us."
John Adam Reberger led the offensive attack, going 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs, scoring two runs and swiping a pair of bases as well. Chase Yocom added two hits and stole three bases for the Knights.
Other players contributing to the 12 run explosion were Austin Bryan, Alex Smith, Mitchell Edrington, Travis Nodley, Jordan Meyers doubled and both Matt Deakins and Jared Lumsdon tripled in the game.
"The offense did a real good job of putting runs on the board early to put pressure on South," said McDonald of his team's 13 hit attack.
The Knights are now 5-0 on the season and were originally slated to face South Vermillion on Monday, but that game has been postponed.
