Northview girls clip Eagles in track

The Northview track teams split their meets on the road at South Putnam on Wednesday night. The girls squad was a winner, 82-50, and were winners in all but three events.

Kelsey Scroggins earned a win in the long jump with her leap of 15-2 and tied for the top spot in the high jump at 4-10. Natasha Barnett, recovering from injury, was the winner in the 300 hurdles and both Hannah Hunter and Ashley Davis were double winners for the Knights.

Davis swept the shotput (36-9) and discus (102-4) and Hunter took the victory in the 400 meters (1:05) and 200 (29.3). Emily Pugh crossed the finish line first in the 1,600 meters and Kim Deakins won the 800 (2:50). Andrea Thomas won the pole vault for Northview and the Renee Leslie won the 100 meters for the Knights who also won the 400 and 1,600 relay.
