The West Vigo Vikings picked the right time to have their best round of the season and perhaps in their school's history when they shot a team, 18-hole round of 310 to win the Western Indiana Conference match at Forest Park Saturday.
Devon Klutey was the medalist with a school record score of two-under-par 69.

With the rain finally edging out of the area after that opening nine holes, West Vigo put together a back half of 156 to edge out South Vermillion's 311 ahead of Northview's 314, Edgewood's 317, Sullivan shot a 321, Brown County and Owen Valley rounded out the field.
The Knights got all-conference rounds from Kyle Kumpf (77) and Austin Schutte (77), the Vikings placed Klutey on the team along with Jake Peacock (76), Kyle Stevenson of South Vermillion shot a 73, Josh Morgan a 76 and Owen Valley's Brian Smiley shot a 75.
