The Northview junior varsity golf team earned a victory in the Edgewood Invitational last week, edging past Whiteland for a two stroke victory.
The Knights' Madason Stevenson and Kayla Duregger played in their first invitational and carded scores of 106 and 102.
Northview got big improvements from several different golfers to score an 18-hole team score of 382 to beat out Whiteland's 384. Edgewood was third followed by Mooresville and Monrovia. Mitchell didn't have a complete team.
Erika Tucker led the Knights with a score of 90 which was a 16 stroke improvement from her round at Hanging Tree. Abby Smith bettered her score from Aberdeen by 22 strokes for a round of 94 and Kayla Cooper had a 96 which was 22 strokes better than her round at Hanging Tree.
Medalist honors went to Whiteland's Stephens who shot an 84.
Next up for Northview will be a trip to Mooresville for a 10 a.m. match followed by the Terre Haute South Invitational at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
